Abstract
The paper presents an original methodology of forecasting the frontogenesis and frontolysis processes by means of the Q-vectors method. The method became a base of vertical movements computation (including direction and intensity). The areas of Q-vectors point the areas of atmospheric flow convergence and divergence, thereby determining the appearance of regions of ascending and descending air movements. The calculated frontogenetic function determines areas of frontogenesis and frontolysis. Data processing requires the use of high performance computing. Improving the performance of modern computers by increasing the frequency of their internal clocks is basically coming to an end. Building computers with parallel structures seems to be the right direction of development.
