Abstract

The article presents the problem of determining the period of optimal service of the radar system on the basis of reliability studies of its exploitation process. The problem of optimal renewal is particularly important for technical objects that operate in continuous motion, and such an object is the radar system. The basis of the method proposed for optimising the renewal of the radar is its diagnosis in (5VL) logic - five-valued logic. Only later, in the second stage, should reliability studies be realised. The basis of this research is the development of a model of the radar's operating process, which uses the technical states diagnosed in the radar. Based on the dependencies describing this model, it was possible to calculate in a simulation the value of the reliability function Ro(t) of the radar in its exploitation process. In addition, during this research, the values of the probability of the radar staying in one of its states diagnosed (states of use) after any number of transitions between states were also determined. In a further stage of the research, the unserviceability function Ro(t) was plotted for time (t = 5000 [h]). An important part of this research was an estimation of the probability of the occurrence of individual states in the object. The results obtained from the research made it possible to plot the Ro(t) characteristic and to plot on it the probability values of the occurrence of the recognised states in the object under study. The probability values marked of the states identified on the Ro(t) characteristic unambiguously determine the times of their occurrence.
